Urban Adolfsson new CFO at Gradientech
Uppsala, 1 April 2022. The diagnostics company Gradientech announces today that Urban Adolfsson is taking up the position as the company's new CFO. Urban has solid experience from leading positions in financial management and business development and was most recently CFO and interim CEO at Encare, a Swedish software company within healthcare.
“Urban is joining Gradientech during an exciting time for the company. We are currently conducting the clinical study to enable market launch of our first product QuickMIC® for diagnostic use for increased sepsis care, first in Europe and then in the US. Urban's expertise in business development and broad experience in finance will be important for our continued success,” says Sara Thorslund, CEO of Gradientech.
Urban has a broad background in finance in various roles and organisations, including accounting, financial and business analysis, cash flow and investment planning as well as equity raising. Previous positions include auditor at Ernst & Young, senior positions at companies such as PA Resources, Envirotainer and most recently as CFO and interim CEO at Encare. In addition to his role as CFO at Gradientech, Urban will manage HR and lead Gradientech’s work in corporate sustainability, ESG.

Urban succeeds former interim CFO Hans Richter.
