Greenfood expands its business in Norway. The food group's subsidiary, Ewerman, has now signed an agreement with Norway's Engrosfrukt for the supply of fruits and vegetables. Under the agreement, Ewerman will begin deliveries starting January 1, 2025. The contract spans five years and is expected to gradually grow to a value of nearly SEK 200 million per year.

Greenfood is one of Northern Europe's largest players in sustainable and healthy food. The group has grown significantly in recent years and continues to experience increased demand as more people choose fruits and vegetables as a central part of a nutritious and balanced diet.

Greenfood and Norway's Engrosfrukt now announces the signing of a new agreement. For Greenfood, this marks the first time the group is establishing its fruit and vegetable offering in Norway. Deliveries will be managed from the group's new state-of-the-art facility in Helsingborg, Sweden, which also houses one of Sweden's most advanced banana ripening facilities, maturing over 30,000 banana boxes every week.

"It is the breadth of our offering, our efficient value chain, and our strong position in sustainability that made Engrosfrukt choose us as their supplier. With our new modern and environmentally efficient facility, we have also significantly strengthened our competitiveness," says Ted Stenshed, CEO of the Greenfood Fresh Produce business area, which includes Ewerman.

Engrosfrukt is a Norwegian distributor of fruits and vegetables with a strong market presence and an extensive distribution network covering all of Norway. The new agreement means Ewerman will supply high-quality fruit and vegetable products to Engrosfrukt.

"A broad range of high-quality green products is a critical branding issue for our foodservice customers. Through the collaboration with Greenfood, we can enhance our customer offering and deliver a wider and better range to our clients in the Norwegian market," says Nils Sund, CEO of Engrosfrukt.
