Greenfood appoints Martin Asp as new CFO

Greenfood announces the appointment of Martin Asp as the new Chief Financial Officer. He will succeed Mattias Engberg, who has decided to move on after a successful decade with the company. Martin Asp, with extensive international experience, will join Greenfood’s executive team and is set to assume his new role on 5 August 2024.

Martin Asp joins from his previous role as CFO of EF Education First, the world's largest private educational organization. He brings a wealth of international experience from senior positions in the FMCG sector, as well as travel and higher education.

“Martin joins Greenfood at an exciting time. With his extensive experience working in multinational corporations, he is an excellent choice to advance our strategic goals," said David von Laskowski, CEO of Greenfood Group.

Mattias Engberg has been pivotal to Greenfood's success since joining the company in 2014. During his tenure, the company has nearly doubled its revenue and further enhanced its profitability. Mattias will continue his involvement with Greenfood until the end of the year, ensuring a smooth transition and sharing his invaluable experience.

“Mattias has been a crucial member of the Greenfood leadership team during a pivotal phase in our history. He feels that now is the appropriate time to pass the baton to a successor who can manage and build upon the strong foundation that has been laid," said David von Laskowski.

This transition ensures continuity in leadership and positions the company well for future challenges and opportunities.
