Go Green and Receive GreenMatch’s Sustainability Scholarship of £1,000

GreenMatch aims to inspire young people to take sustainable decisions in their everyday life by awarding a student with a scholarship of £1,000. The matter is close to the heart of GreenMatch who themselves are encouraging UK homeowners to invest in renewable energy solutions. With a view to motivate everybody, especially students, to go green, GreenMatch awards students who do the most for the environment.

As a result of the growing focus on sustainability, GreenMatch wants to reward students who take action and think green on a daily basis. With a scholarship of £1,000, GreenMatch hopes to not only reward a student for taking sustainable decisions but also encourage others to do so.

91% of Students Want Sustainable Development in Universities

In a survey from the National Union of Students from 2018, it is concluded that 91% of student respondents agree that their university should actively try to incorporate sustainable development. To encourage the students to not only rely on the university to take green initiatives, GreenMatch wants to motivate students to take action by themselves. By rewarding a student with £1,000, they hope to inspire more students to take and implement sustainable decisions.

When applying, you need to submit documentation of your studies and an essay explaining which specific actions you have taken to live a greener lifestyle, and how these decisions have helped form a better student life.
