Plantui and Bosch partnership brings smart gardens to a global market
Plantui, a Finnish developer and manufacturer of smart gardens, has signed a partnership agreement with the German group of companies BSH Hausgeräte GmbH. The first products under the group’s Bosch brand were launched today at the IFA Berlin trade show.
Plantui Oy and BSH Hausgeräte GmbH announced this significant product development and manufacturing agreement today at IFA Berlin. BSH, known for its Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau brands, is Europe’s leading home appliance manufacturer.
“We began in 2012 as a small but determined start-up, and on our journey since then we’ve developed our products and business. Plantui’s globally patented smart technology, combined with our quality and design, appealed to BSH,” says Plantui CEO René Österman.
Collaborating with Bosch means Plantui can join the ranks of trusted home appliance brands and enter more homes worldwide.
“We share a vision of indoor gardens as an essential part of future kitchens and food preparation.”
Significant growth ahead
Collaboration with a leading home appliance manufacturer offers Plantui a more extensive distribution network and boosts its product development.
“The indoor garden and food tech category is growing strongly worldwide right now. Plantui is responding to global megatrends: environmental awareness, urbanization and interest in food integrity and quality,” says Österman.
The partnership agreement with BSH means a brighter future for the whole food tech industry.
“With BSH we want to further develop better products for every home and kitchen. We will also continue our research and development of the vertical garden concept for professional users,” Österman says.
Plantui has more than 200 shareholders in 15 countries. Collaboration with a global business partner was well received by Plantui’s current and new investors during its previous funding round, which raised more than €1.4 million.
