Garage guests the winners at GSF’s Casino event

Shropshire’s Weston Park provided a glorious Autumnal rural setting for GSF Car Parts’ Casino event, held on Saturday 10th October.

The James Bond-themed backdrop, and a black tie dress code, brought a touch of glamour to proceedings, as a party of around 70 guests gathered for the evening. Attending were both GSF Car Parts founder and Chairman Stan West and Peter Sephton, Chief Executive of The Parts Alliance, following GSF joining the trading group in September.

The event was just the latest in a series of innovative and highly productive regional finale events that have blended together elements of team building, customer hospitality and staff training, within the Area Focus programme.

As usual, the midlands Area Focus began several weeks before this event, with customer visits undertaken by suppliers and head office staff, running alongside product awareness briefings from key suppliers for branch staff.

The final team building effort saw GSF’s Birmingham head office sales team join with branch staff and regional sales managers to set up the marquee throughout Saturday daytime.

The hard work didn’t end there though; the GSF team created a superb menu of duck liver pate, pork and sticky toffee pudding and even ran the bar, with generous dry Martini cocktails proving a particularly popular tipple on the night.

Either side of the meal, guests were entertained by the onsite Casino and relaxed on an evening that was roundly praised by all the garages that attended. Two further events are planned for November, a Tudor banquet and an intriguing high flyers party.
