GSF campaign for ‘right antifreeze, right vehicle’
GSF Car Parts are running a new awareness campaign to encourage motorists to use the correct antifreeze type.
A complete Vetech range is exclusively available through GSF but the UK’s largest family-owned motor factors know from sales’ patterns that many garage workshops still stock only Red antifreeze. And web sales suggest for motorists, it’s even worse, with most still buying blue, simply out of habit.
The latest generation Vetech purple G13 formulation was added to GSF’s antifreeze concentrate range in March this year, joining the standard Blue antifreeze and long-life Red. All products are available in a full range of pack sizes including 1 litre, 5 litre and 20 litre drums.
G13 is production line fill for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, as well as Mercedes Benz light commercial. Exceptional all weather protection is provided across a temperature range from -35°C to +135°C.
Vetech G13 is long-life hybrid organic acid technology (HOAT) formulation which incorporates silicate for superior anti-corrosive performance. It offers extended 5 year protection, conforming to British Standards BS6580 (2010). It is fully backwards compatible with previous coolants including G11, G12, G12+ and G12++.
The Blue formulation offers economical all-year-round engine cooling system protection against corrosion and overheating. The methanol, nitrite, amine and phosphate-free formulation means it’s suitable for use in either petrol or diesel engine, offering superior performance to budget formulations.
Vetech Red is a modern silicate and borate free Organic Acid Technology (OAT) formulation. It meets the specifications of OEMs including Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Jaguar, Saab, Ford and Vauxhall. The red coolant can inhibit rust, and protects engine metals including aluminium, for up to 5 years or 100,000 miles.
“Vetech G13 Purple Antifreeze is available at the same price as Red so there is absolutely no reason not to use it,” said John Wright, Garage Essentials Manager at GSF Car Parts. “Using the right antifreeze ensures the coolant system works as it was designed to, with the correct balance of additives in the mixture.”
GSF say motorists buying online at www.gsfcarparts.com have quality assurance guaranteed as they’re buying exactly the same range of parts and consumables that are supplied to trade.
