Leamington motorist win parts and repairs with local supplier

GSF Car Parts, Leamington has given away around £3,000 worth of free car parts and repairs to deserving owners following a competition.

Among the winners of the ‘Get Your Motor Running’ competition was 30-year-old stay at home mum, Hayley Colburn and her Husband Matthew Colburn, who won repairs and servicing for their family car worth more than £610.

Mrs Colburn said: “It’s a huge help for us, especially with two demanding kids.

“It will give me a stress free life for a bit and I really like our car, so I’m glad we can keep it.”

Mr and Mrs Colburn had a list of faults that were repaired, a service and MOT was also carried out curtesy of GSF Car Parts.

GSF Car Parts Leamington Branch Manager, Steve Billings said: “There’s no enjoyment in having to fix your car when it breaks down so it’s a great feeling knowing that we’ve been able to help the competition winners get their cars back on the road.”

33-year-old driver, Bret Sutton was particularly surprised to win over £550 worth of car parts for his Mercedes Benz 230e.

Mr Sutton said: “My girlfriend entered me into the competition as a birthday surprise but she never imagined that I would actually win. It’s a massive surprise, ideal timing too.”

38-year-old ice cream vendor and single dad, Peter Short, won £350 worth of parts for his Peugeot 206, which was in desperate need of repair.

Mr Short said: “The car was a bit of a wreck and, being a single dad, I couldn’t afford to get it fixed.

“I’ve got an autistic child, so the car is essential for getting him about. I’d be lost without it.”
