New signage lights up GSF investment in Peterborough branch
GSF Car Parts have installed new illuminated LED signage at their Peterborough branch, completing a major investment, from the UK’s largest privately-owned motor factors, in the 5 year old branch.
The signage project, completed in just a single day to minimise disruption, saw tube-based fluorescent systems upgraded to state-of-the-art LED technology, in line with the company’s latest corporate image.
“We’re transforming Peterborough because we’ve identified it as a branch with really high potential,” said Regional Sales Director Emma Tiernan. “The new signs are the clue outside, but inside the changes are huge; we’ve more than doubled the branch’s stock, and added skilled new staff.”
The six-figure stock investment in Peterborough will accelerate both garage trade and retail sales performance. Overseeing the drive to grow business will be the experienced Kerry Green, joining as new Branch Manager from GSF’s successful Northampton store.
“Kerry has 28 years of experience with GSF, exceptional product knowledge and understands today’s independent garages’ needs perfectly,” Emma adds.
The Peterborough site is already busy winning new trade accounts, and pushing out into the local catchment area for retail sales too. It’s now tipped to be amongst the 70-strong branch network’s fastest growing sites during 2015.
Martin Fawcett, who joined the branch as a delivery van driver when it first opened, and has since progressed to call handling in the busy customer service team, can’t wait to get going, saying: “It’s been really exciting to see how quickly and how far things have changed in just a few weeks.”
The transformation is expected to create new jobs, shared amongst warehouse operatives, van drivers and customer service staff.
