Guaranteed Rate Kicks Off Summer with “Groovy” Disco Dash

CHICAGO, IL – June 26, 2012 – Guaranteed Rate, America's Fastest Growing Mortgage CompanySM, kicked off the summer last week with its second annual Disco Dash. During the sold-out event, over 2,000 participants of all ages took part in the 5K and 10K races to the beat of disco music, many decked out in styling ‘70s attire.

The race saw heavy competition in all groups, with Tyler Zwagerman coming in first for the 5K race (at 17 minutes flat) and Timmy Vazquez taking home the top 10K prize (at 34:59) in the men’s division. In the women’s division, Heather Prekop took the 5K prize (at 17:50), and Sue Dehaan was the winner in the 10K race (at 41:56).

Afterwards, participants enjoyed food, beverages and live music well into the night, with Soldier Field as the backdrop.
