Part road race, part '70's costume party and all fun to benefit a great cause, the Disco Dash is a 5K and 10K race that steps off at Soldier Field in Chicago on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 6:30pm. Over 2,000 runners are expected to compete. Following the race, participants can shake their groove thing at the hottest disco in town, all while enjoying great food, drinks, prizes and live entertainment provided by local disco sensations - The Shagadelics.

For the second year running, Guaranteed Rate's Disco Dash benefits The Peapod Project, http://www.thepeapodproject.org/ , an organization dedicated to supporting and guiding families who find themselves in the tragic situation of losing a child. Established in 2007, The Peapod Project Foundation was established by Ted and Annette Stenstrom after the loss of their baby girl. This experience inspired the Stenstroms to create a formal program that provides extensive resources to support families and guide hospital staff through this very difficult time.
