Guardian Communications Take Top Honors in Insurance Industry Awards Competition
The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America was honored for four separate communications initiatives in the 2011 Insurance & Financial Communicators Association (IFCA) Awards, the industry’s annual benchmark for communications excellence.
Most notably, Guardian’s interactive annual report was named Best of Show, IFCA’s highest honor, in the Annual Reports category. Titled “Guardian for Life,” the annual report profiles real-world Guardian clients who have relied on Guardian products to protect themselves, their families and their businesses. The interactive version includes customer videos, in addition to all of the information provided in the traditional printed edition.
In addition to the Best of Show, Guardian received two awards in IFCA’s Small Business Customer Promotion category, reflecting the company’s strategic decision to focus on the needs of small businesses and their owners:
- Award of Excellence for “Small Business Matters: Leveraging Our Small Business Intelligence to Expand Your Practice”
- Honorable Mention for “Are You Prepared for the Exit? Tips for Successfully Transitioning Your Business”
Guardian also received an Honorable Mention in IFCA’s Association Marketing category for its “Strengthening Association Commitment to Members” kit, designed to promote the company’s association discount program for disability income insurance.
Guardian will be officially honored on October 4, 2011, at the IFCA Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tenn.
Guardian’s communications expertise has been recognized by other industry organizations. Earlier this year, Guardian’s Service e-magazine – published quarterly for the company’s nationwide sales force – received an Award of Excellence in the Employee Electronic Communications category of the Insurance Marketing Communications Association’s annual awards competition.
