The Partnership Provides Nonprofits with Comprehensive Donation Reports All in One Place

Washington, DC — September 10, 2012 GuideStar—the leading source of nonprofit information—today announced an expanded partnership with Kimbia®, giving donors the ability to research nonprofits as well as donate to their favorite charities all in one place. In addition, nonprofit managers can easily access reports detailing who has contributed to their organization and how much they have donated. The expansion of its 2010 partnership with Kimbia—provider of powerful and flexible fundraising, event management, and advocacy tools—further enhances GuideStar’s already robust resources aimed at helping nonprofits fundraise.

“Our Money for Good II research tells us that donors want to give to nonprofits that are doing the most good,” said James Lum, GuideStar’s chief financial officer. “We are happy to allow them to do just that through our enhanced partnership with Kimbia. When donors are researching nonprofits at www.guidestar.org, they can with one click give to the nonprofits that they decide deserve their hard-earned money. We are also pleased that nonprofits can use our site’s unified reporting platform to determine with greater ease the success of their fundraising efforts.”

Additionally, soon nonprofits that have earned a GuideStar Exchange Seal will be able to embed a GuideStar donation widget powered by Kimbia onto their own Web sites in order to drive donations. The widget, a small line of code that can be easily embedded onto a Web page, will empower nonprofits to solicit and collect donations on both their own Web sites and on their GuideStar profile pages.

“Online philanthropy is growing rapidly and expanding the GuideStar relationship will make high-quality, easily deployable fundraising tools accessible to every nonprofit in America,” stated Dan Gillett, CEO of Kimbia. “We are thrilled to be helping nonprofits achieve their mission by increasing the success of their important fundraising and awareness campaigns.”

Kimbia also enables donation transactions for the GuideStar DonorEdge program, a technology and knowledge platform for community foundations, as well as community-wide giving events that leverage GuideStar nonprofit data.
