The 2011 GuideStar Directory of Nonprofit Contractors Now Available for $99
First Report of Its Kind Identifies Businesses That Provided Legal, Accounting, IT Services and More to Nonprofits in Fiscal Year 2009
Washington, DC—December 13, 2011—GuideStar, the leading source of nonprofit information, announced today that its 2011 GuideStar Directory of Nonprofit Contractors is available now for $99. Compiled from the Forms 990 that nonprofits filed with the IRS for fiscal year 2009, the Directory details the businesses that provided services to nonprofits, the nonprofits that purchased the services, and the amounts spent on them. The Directory is the first and only report of its kind and provides comprehensive information to help bring thousands of contractors and nonprofits together in a searchable PDF.
“Our 2011 Directory of Nonprofit Contractors helps the businesses that provide critical services to nonprofits to compete in today’s difficult economic climate,” said Bob Ottenhoff, president and CEO of GuideStar. “At the same time, nonprofits can use the Directory to identify the service providers that are benefiting their particular cause area or the sector overall.”
The Directory lists more than 13,000 businesses that provided services to 14,000 nonprofits, which spent a total of $34 billion for those services. The report contains two sections: contractors by service type, listing each contractor's name, address and contract totals; and contractors by service type and client location, which lists within each state the type of service, contractor name, client name, city, and state, and contract size.
