Gunnebo Industrier AB has acquired Clark Tracks Limited, a Scottish company that manufactures and sells tracks for forest machines.

Clark Tracks, which has an annual turnover of some MSEK 25, manufactures and sells tracks for forest machines, with most of its sales going to export markets. The acquisition will generate substantial synergies on the marketing side as the tracks manufactured by Clark Tracks are used on the same forest machines as the chain-based non-skid products from Gunnebo Industriers’s Non-Skid Business Unit.

“The acquisition of Clark Tracks Limited will further strengthen our market offering. We are already the world’s leading manufacturer of non-skid products for the forestry market, and this acquisition will boost our position on this market,” says Christer Lenner, President and CEO of Gunnebo Industrier. “There will also be additional synergies as the forges in Gunnebo Industrier’s Lifting Business Unit can manufacture some components that Clarks Tracks has been buying from outside suppliers for incorporation in its tracks,” adds Lenner. The acquisition will have a positive effect on the result for 2007.

“I am very satisfied and pleased about this strategically important acquisition, which will further strengthen our position of leadership on the global market, and will also generate cost synergies,” says Anders Stigwall, Head of Gunnebo Industrier’s Non Skid Business Unit.
