Gunnebo Industrier acquires Farrell O’Brien Service Ltd

Gunnebo Industrier acquires, via its Irish subsidiary Gunnebo Industries Ltd, all the shares in Farrell O’Brien Service Ltd, an Irish company located in the Dublin area.

Farrell O’Brien Service, which has an annual turnover of some MSEK 15, is a distributor of products in the Lifting industry. Its main product groups include chain and lifting components, polyester slings, lifting blocks and cranes. “Farrell O’Brien is a direct competitor of Gunnebo Industrier, it is earning healthy profits and will complement our existing activities very well. The acquisition will generate valuable synergies, reduce costs and strengthen marketing on behalf of Gunnebo Industries Ltd, the Group’s Irish company,” says Mr. Christer Lenner, President and CEO of Gunnebo Industrier. “Gunnebo Industries Ltd is now experiencing steady growth and the acquisition of Farrell O’Brien will further strengthen this trend and add force to our investments in the future,” says Mr. Patrick Doyle, Managing Director of Gunnebo Industries Ltd, Ireland. “The integration of the acquired company will be a smooth process.
