Gunnebo acquires another security products company Gunnebo's subsidiary Gunnebo Troax AB has today acquired all the shares in the Finnish company, Polaraidat Oy. Polaraidat is engaged in the manufacture, sale and installation of products and services for outdoor perimeter protection. Manufacture and sale are situated in Nummela, just outside Helsinki. The product range consists of protective fencing, gates and doors, mainly of aluminium and providing various classes of security, as well as alarm systems. Polaraidat's turnover for 1998 will amount to approximately 12.0 million Finnish markka. The company has 13 employees. Polaraidat, which is a family-owned company, enjoys a good reputation and has been well established on the Finnish market for many years. The acquisition of Polaraidat will create a platform and distribution channel on the Finnish market for Gunnebo Troax's range of other outdoor security products. Gunnebo Troax has had a sales company in Finland for the past three years, whose business consists of marketing the Business Area's range of indoor security products for homes, machine protection products and other industrial products. Together, Polaraidat and Gunnebo Troax will have a complete range of products for indoor and outdoor perimeter protection in Finland.
