Gunnebo awarded design prize for security entrances On 8 September 1999, Gunnebo Entrance Control was awarded the Outstanding Swedish Design prize by the Swedish Design Institute, Svensk Form, for the design of its new SpeedStile ES security entrance. Entrance Control is introducing a whole new approach to entrance security with its new SpeedGate product family. Entrance Control has further increased its endeavours to find the ultimate user-friendly product, without compromising on security against unauthorised access. Together with flexible design and exciting materials, this gives users an open and welcoming impression. Entrance Control leads the way in developing well designed security entrances, and has previously won design prizes for such products as GlasStile and WingStile. The first product in the SpeedGate family is the SpeedGate ES, which was presented for the first time at Safety and Security 99 at the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre in Gothenburg on 7-9 September, 1999. The SpeedStile ES was developed in co-operation with such companies as Ericsson, in order to fit in with their reception-area solutions, which are open yet have high security demands. Gunnebo Entrance Control is part of the Gunnebo Security business area, which is one of Europe's leading security suppliers, with a turnover of approximately SEK 4 billion.
