Through its wholly owned subsidiary Rosengrens Martens in the Netherlands, international security group Gunnebo has signed a contract with Rabobank for the installation of new “intelligent” deposit safes and the upgrading of its existing installations.

The agreement provides for the upgrading of security by installing a new generation of “intelligent” deposit safes with a generally higher performance over a period of two years, beginning at the end of 2005. The order, which is worth around MSEK 50, also includes a service contract worth around MSEK 10 per year for a seven-year period beginning in 2006 and ending in 2013. The new upgraded deposit safes represent significant benefits for the bank’s business customers. They combine improved security with faster crediting of deposits to the customers’ accounts, both day and night. “Gunnebo is the market leader in Europe in secure cash handling for banks. We are also the leader in the development of new products and systems that combine high security with rapid transfer of cash to customer account. This order is important to us since it is the first for this new generation of service boxes,” explains Torbjörn Browall, head of Gunnebo Physical Security division, and first Executive VP Gunnebo AB.
