First quarter 2005 Invoiced sales rose by 8% to MSEK 1,763 (1,627). After adjustment for acquisitions and currency effects invoiced sales remained unchanged. The first quarter result after financial items (excluding items affecting comparability), which is always weak for seasonal reasons, was a profit of MSEK 8 (35). Items affecting comparability of MSEK -44 includes mainly a final settlement of MSEK -23 for a project in Great Britain in 2002-2004 and an earlier closure of the factory in Mumbai of MSEK -13. The result after financial items (including items affecting comparability) was a loss of MSEK 36 (profit 35). The result after tax was a loss of MSEK 27 (profit 29). The loss per share amounted to SEK 0.60 (profit 0.65). Decision to distribute Gunnebo Industrier to shareholders. Application for a separate listing on Stockholmsbörsen’s “O”-list. Eurofence, a French company with an annual turnover of some MSEK 225, was acquired in January. Gunnebo Industrier acquired Telesteps, a Swedish company with an annual turnover of some MSEK 75, after the end of the reporting period. Outlook for 2005 as a whole In spite of a week performance in the beginning of the year the business outlook for 2005 as a whole is good.
