Gunnebo receives order worth over MSEK 30 to supply Swedbank with security solutions
Gunnebo security group has through its subsidiary Gunnebo Nordic AB signed an order worth over MSEK 30 to supply and install closed cash-handling systems, alarms and secure storage for Swedbank’s branches in Sweden.
Gunnebo security group has through its subsidiary Gunnebo Nordic AB signed an order worth over MSEK 30 to supply and install closed cash-handling systems, alarms and secure storage for Swedbank’s branches in Sweden.
The order, which is the result of a close partnership between Gunnebo Nordic and Swedbank over many years, includes the installation of 150 closed cash-handling systems, known as note recyclers. The system consists of a fully automated machine in a cash-handling environment that counts and verifies notes deposited by the bank’s cashier at the same time as it can pay out cash to the next customer.
The order also includes the installation of alarms linked to the cash handling system, solutions for secure storage and a service agreement.
“We are continuously improving our cash-handling systems and the security for both our employees and our customers, for instance by further automation. Gunnebo’s products satisfy the criteria we have established for security and reliability,” says Björn Andersson, Project Manager Operations support at Swedbank.

Installation has begun already and is expected to continue until the end of 2009. Gunnebo Nordic and Swedbank hold regular discussions about the further development of security solutions in a banking environment.
