One of the primary customer segments in Gunnebo’s new organisation is Bank. Now Gunnebo expands its solutions for the self-service cash handling zones in banks with two new products: SafeCash Combi, a cash-in machine for both notes and coins and SafeBag 500 deposit system. The products will be launched in Gunnebo’s stand at the CeBIT exhibition in Hannover, Germany.

SafeCash Combi allows self service cash-in of both notes and coins – in one machine. It is ideal for use in banks, service branches and in the growing number of self-service branches. SafeCash Combi provides the highest security verification against counterfeit for both notes and coins (EC Regulation 1338/2001 Article 6). “SafeCash Combi’s multifunctionality with cash-in for both coins and notes saves space for the bank in the self-service area, and time for the bank customer while he or she can do cash in for both notes and coins in the same transaction”, says Torbjörn Browall, General Manager Gunnebo Competence Centre Cash Automation. “Furthermore, the machine can handle high deposit volumes, which means that also larger deposits can be made.” SafeBag 500 deposit system has been developed specially for self-service use in banks. SafeBag 500 has been designed to meet high safety requirements, and it is certified as a deposit system to grade III by the test and certification institute VdS. This means that it can be used as deposit system for internal banking business, as well as a deposit system for the bank’s customers. “SafeBag 500 is developed in accordance to our customer’s requirements, which means that we now have a product that meets the high security demands that is requested from the German bank-market”, says Olle Magnusson, Country Manager Gunnebo Germany/Austria. “With those products added in our portfolio, we can provide very efficient, complete self-service areas for banks.” Gunnebo’s stand at CeBIT will be found in hall 17 – stand C 24. CeBIT takes place March 9-15 2006 in Hannover, Germany.
