International security Group Gunnebo has signed through its Rosengren subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway and Denmark a framework agreement with Coop Norden for the supply of its SafePay totally sealed and secure cash-handling system.

The contract covers the basic SafePay system, including note and coin units complemented with intelligent cassettes containing a colour-staining unit, known as Intelligent Deposit Units, and a Cash Transfer Units integrated into a burglar-resistant safe. This means that SafePay is an entirely closed system for secure and fast cash handling. “Coop Norden is a large and important player on the Nordic retail market, and it is very encouraging that we can now also start to deliver our SafePay system to them,” says Bjarne Holmqvist, Gunnebo’s President and CEO. “Our development activities together with Coop Norden – which were focused on completely closing the SafePay system - have turned out very well. With the SafePay system installed in their stores, security will be greatly improved, and cash flows will be both fast and efficient,” explains Torbjörn Browall, head of the Gunnebo Physical Security division and firs Executive Vice President, Gunnebo AB.
