Report this content

Spanish high speed train tunnel management company (ADIF) has agreed to install fire resistant and anti blast doors designed and manufactured by Gunnebo for a 9 km tunnel near Málaga, in the south of Spain. The order value is 800,000 Euro.

The new railroad line designed for a high speed train (AVE) in the south of Spain will be developed by two tunnel tubes which run next to each other from the west to the east. Between the two tunnels, there are 19 transverse galleries which will be partitioned in each case with two Gunnebo fire protection and anti blast doors.

The narrow collaboration between Gunnebo Spain and Competence Centre Entrance Control was the key success factor to get the order. High commercial effort made by Gunnebo Spain was supported by the technical capabilities given and advised by Competence Centre Entrance Control.

Doors will be manufactured in Entrance Control’s factory in Bedford /UK after all the test requirements, fire resistant and anti blast certificates were passed.
