Gunnebo strengthens Group management team with CIO

Hans af Sillén (41) has been appointed Senior Vice President in the Gunnebo Group with responsibility for Information Technology. He will also become a member of Gunnebo’s Group management team. He will take up his new position by no later than 1 April 2006. Af Sillén will also take over as Gunnebo’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on 1 January 2007 in connection with the contractual retirement of the present CFO Lennart Gustavsson.

Af Sillén is a graduate economist with many years of experience from senior positions within Atlas Copco and is currently General Manager, Power Tools Distribution with responsibility for distribution and IT-technology within business area Industrial Technique. One of his responsibilities will be to see that a central IT structure is implemented with common guidelines and a co-ordinated IT platform for the Group. “Hans af Sillén has a first-class track record when it comes to setting up efficient IT systems in an international business environment,” comments Göran Gezelius, Gunnebo’s President and CEO. “The Gunnebo group has been built up by means of some 40 company acquisitions, and in order to realise our strategy for customer orientation, efficiency improvements and organic growth decided on by the Board it is essential to make sure we have efficient, co-ordinated IT- systems in place.” “I’m looking forward to being a member of the team that will develop and strengthen Gunnebo as a leading international security company.
