THE ACQUISITION OF GARNY SICHERHEITSTECHNIK IS ACCOMPLISHED The previously announced acquisition of Garny Sicherheitstechnik is now accomplished. Gunnebo has, through its subsidiary E A Rosengrens, acquired all the shares in Garny Sicherheitstechnik. The seller is Garny AG, a subsidiary to the British company De La Rue. The take-over, which took place August 5, 1998, has been approved by the shareholders meeting of Garny AG and also by the German competition authority. Garny Sicherheitstechnik is the leading manufacturer of safes and security products for the banking sector in Germany with a turnover of some MSEK 300, and about 300 employees. The business is located in Mörfelden outside Frankfurt. Including this acquisition, the business area Gunnebo Security will be the leading manufacturer of security products in Europe, with an annual turnover of more than MSEK 900. For Gunnebo Security, the acquisition also offers a larger production- basis and access to the important German market.
