H. Lundbeck, Cipralex® is superior to Paxil® and differs significantly to placebo in treatment of generalised anxiety disorder

New data presented today by H. Lundbeck at the ECNP (European College of Neuropsychopharmacology) in Stockholm shows that Cipralex® (escitalopram) is effective and has a favourable tolerability profile compared to placebo and is significantly more effective than Paxil (paroxetine) in the treatment of generalised anxiety disorder (GAD).The proportion of patients reaching remission at the end of the study was also significantly higher for the Cipralex® (10mg) group than either placebo or Paxil®.
