H. Lundbeck, Update on US Lexapro court case

In 2003, Forest Laboratories, Inc. and H. Lundbeck A/S filed suit against Ivax Pharmaceuticals, Inc, now Teva Pharmaceuticals (Teva), for patent infringement related to Lexapro patent.  A trial was held regarding the patent litigation with Teva in March 2006 and on July 13, 2006, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware determined that the patent covering Lexapro is valid and enforceable. Lexapro’s patent is set to expire in March 2012.
