Extension of the investigation period for Xella’s merger notification targeting H+H
Reference is made to prior company announcements informing of Xella International Holdings S.à.r.l.’s (“Xella”) merger notification targeting H+H International A/S (“H+H”) and the preliminary negative assessment by the Bundeskartellamt (the German federal cartel office) of the merger notification.
For the sake of order it is hereby announced that the investigation period for the merger notification latest set to expire on 29 February 2012 has been extended until 20 March 2012. The Bundeskartellamt’s investigations are still ongoing, including evaluation of offer of commitments from Xella to counter the competitive consequences in relation to a merger, and as part of the investigations H+H continues to answer questions from the Bundeskartellamt.
