Haeger & Carlsson (H&C) has recruited Helena Strigård as Chief Executive Officer and partner to lead the company's journey of expansion into the Nordic market. The mission is to become the leading player in executive search and interim services within life science in the Nordics. Helena comes most recently from the role of CEO at the pharmaceutical manufacturer NorthX Biologics and was previously the CEO of the industry organization SwedenBIO.

Rolf Carlsson, who co-founded the company with Gunilla Haeger, will thus take on a new role in the company as Chairman of the Board and business developer. With the addition of Cilla Gylfe as a partner in the company in 2021, the business expanded from recruiting top positions and specialists to also include interim services, which Helena & Cilla will now further expand together.

"With the recruitment of Helena Strigård as the new CEO, we are taking the next step in our ambition to be the leading company in executive search and interim solutions within Life Science in the Nordic region but also to support companies looking to establish themselves in the Nordic ecosystem. Helena's broad background, spanning from the public offices to various roles in the industry, is well suited to develop our growing organization and our services for the benefit of customers and candidates," says Rolf.

Helena will assume the position of CEO on November 1st but has already become a partner in the company.

"I couldn't say no to this opportunity to own and run a business where I can leverage my strong Nordic and international network and play a pivotal role in the establishment of life science businesses in the Nordic region. The life of an entrepreneur has attracted me for a long time, and it feels good to take that journey with H&C, as we share both ambitions for our growth journey and a philosophy of leadership," says Helena.

H&C was an early adopter of focusing on bringing together individuals and organizations with the same values and goals, which has led to a strong position in the industry.

"I am convinced that this is crucial for successful recruitments and personally, it attracts me to further develop so that we continue to stay at the forefront. I have followed H&C for several years and have been impressed by the breadth of expertise in life science that the team of 12 people possesses. Everyone here has a solid understanding of the industry from their own significant roles. But it was still the wonderful atmosphere in the group and the sense of camaraderie that won me over," summarizes Helena.
