Hafslund - New deputy CEO

Hafslund ASA’s Senior Vice President Markets, Kari Ekelund Thørud, will with effect from Wednesday 13 June 2012 also take on the role as deputy CEO of Hafslund. Kari Ekelund Thørud has been Senior Vice President, Markets since 1 September 2009. She came from the position of Managing Director of Hafslund Strøm AS, where was responsible for the management and development of Hafslund’s electricity operations. Ekelund Thørud has previously been financial director for the business area Heat and Infrastructure in Hafslund ASA and has been with Hafslund since 2004.

Kari Ekelund Thørud holds an MBA specialising in International Management from BI Norwegian Business School, and has completed Financial Energy Analysis studies as NHH Executive at Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
