Hafslund ASA purchases in Rakkestad Energiverk
The General Meeting of Rakkestad Energiverk approved Thursday evening that Hafslund ASA purchases the power retail business and 33% of the grid from Rakkestad Energiverk AS.
The General Meeting of Rakkestad Energiverk consists of all 36 representatives of the municipal council. The General meeting has authorised the negotiating committee to finalise the contracts with Hafslund. The final approval is to be made by the executive committee of local council.
-- Hafslund owns and operates the regional grid in the Østfold county, and its natural that the regional grid is more integrated with the local grids in the county. Through this agreement with Rakkestad Hafslund consolidates its position in the Østfold county, says Hans Tormod Hansen, CEO and President of Hafslund ASA.
Hafslund has also joint venture agreements and ownership in Råde El-verk and Rygge El-verk in the Østfold county.
