Highlights second-quarter 2006
  • After-tax profit of NOK 7,439 million - up from NOK 276 million in 2Q 2005.
  • NOK 7,213 million value growth in Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) shareholding, compared with NOK 52 million in 2Q 2005.
  • Profit before tax and divested business activities excluding REC: NOK 397 million - up 74 percent compared with NOK 228 million in 2Q 2005.
  • Return on equity for the first six months of 2006: 163 percent p.a. (first six months of 2005: 19 percent p.a.).
  • Agreement in principle on Viken Fjernvarme buyout and purchase of Priority Telecom are key advances in Hafslund's targeting of alternative energy sources and fiber optic network infrastructure.
  • Rune Bjerke resigns as Hafslund ASA's President and CEO to become President and CEO of DnB NOR ASA.
