The business area Commercial Vehicle Systems of the Haldex group and Hendrickson in the Boler group, have announced the formation of a formal cooperation to make Haldex brakes and controls technology standard on Hendrickson’s integrated suspension and axle systems.

Hendrickson is a market leader for non-driven truck & trailer axles as well as truck & trailer suspensions. Haldex and Hendrickson will collaborate on the design and integration of their respective products to optimize performance, weight and total life cycle costs for axle, brake and suspension packages. While Haldex brake products will be made standard, Hendrickson will continue to make available alternative brake and control products as options. Haldex will continue to supply its brake and suspension products to other axle and suspension companies. In commenting on the relationship, Joe Ross, President of Hendrickson said, “The cooperation with Haldex will permit us to support our customers better by developing innovative, integrated solutions that combine the axle, brake and suspension as a complete system. With this approach we can find more optimal solutions than when we treat these products as individual components.” Chuck Kleinhagen, COO of the Haldex group with responsibility for the Commercial Vehicle Systems business area, added “The cooperation with Hendrickson will allow the two companies to offer OEM’s and fleets solutions with completely integrated engineering and a “one-stop-shopping”” approach. This will reduce the time, efforts and costs associated with optimizing the performance and cost of the axle, brake and suspension package.” For further information contact Chuck Kleinhagen, COO, phone +1 816 891 2470, Claes Warnander, CEO, or Lennart Hammargren, CFO, phone +46 8 545 049 50.
