Haldex Traction introduces the latest Quality Assurance System Haldex Traction AB is the first Swedish company to implement ISO/TS 16 949 . When ISO 9000 was implemented in the automotive business, it was immediately followed by local extensions in different countries. Thus there was the German VDA 6.1, the American QS 9000, the French EAQF 94 and the Italian EAQ 94. As a consequence of the growing globalisation the need for a common system increased. This has now been introduced as the ISO/TS 16 949 covering all the national variants. Being the first Swedish company to implement the new standard, Haldex Traction has now achieved this certificate. This is a natural step after the ISO 9000 certification obtained in 1998. Haldex Traction sees in this new system great advantages and has chosen to implement it, not only to fulfil the wish of the customers. The system gives good opportunities to improve operations, by the continuous improvements which is one part of the ISO/TS 16 949. Haldex is an innovator in vehicle technology and supplies proprietary products for trucks, cars and industrial vehicles on a global basis. The Group is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and has annual sales exceeding $650 million with 4,250 employees.
