Haldex wins a first, larger ABS order in Asia Haldex has through its daughter company in Korea received a first, larger order in Asia for Antilock Braking Systems (ABS). Jindo, the largest trailer manufacturer in Korea and one of the leaders in this industry in all of Asia, has selected Haldex Brake Systems Division to supply Antilock Braking Systems and Automatic Brake Adjusters for an important order for about 4,000 trailers which will be delivered to a large overseas customer. Jindo specified Haldex products due to their excellent performance and Haldex solid quality reputation as a global supplier of safety equipment for vehicles. Jindo expects that their trailer production in Korea will continue to increase for domestic and export sales. This initial order, valued at more than 12 MSEK, is expected to be the first in a series of orders which could eventually total over 60 MSEK over a two- year period. In the main markets in Europe and North America, Haldex holds between 30-40% market shares for ABS systems on heavy trailers. The Asian order illustrates Haldex intention to grow in new geographical markets, also with new products. The fact that Haldex now supplies both ABS systems and Automatic Brake Adjusters to Jindo demonstrates the synergy between the acquired Midland Grau range and Haldex traditional brake business. Haldex is a global supplier of proprietary products for trucks, cars and industrial vehicles, with special emphasis on performance & safety. The Group is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and has yearly sales of 5 BSEK with 4,400 employees. The Group has sales companies in Europe, North & South America and Asia. Production takes place at 9 factories in Europé and 9 in the U.S. as well as in a joint-venture in India.
