Haldex wins ABS order from Nissan Spain Nissan Motors Iberica, Spain's largest manufacturer of medium and light trucks, is to fit the new Haldex ABS LT system to all their range of "Full Air" and "Air Over Hydraulic" versions. When completely introduced, the yearly order value can be estimated at 10-15 MSEK. The new Haldex ABS LT system has been developed to provide truck manufacturers with a low-cost, high performance braking system that complies with the latest European Union regulations on ABS. Haldex expertise in braking technology enabled the new system to be developed quickly.The system is a development of already proven Haldex technology of adaptive surface control. The system is available in both full air and air over hydraulic versions. Further versatility is achieved by making the Haldex ABS LT system available with Electronic Control unit that can be mounted either internally or externally. The new braking sytem was developed jointly with Nissan by the Haldex Brake Systems division's ABS unit, Haldex Brake Products Ltd. of Redditch, UK, and Haldex España S.A. based in Barcelona. Official approval for the new system was given following in-depth testing by the official Spanish laboratories, IDIADA. Haldex is a global supplier of proprietary products for trucks, cars and industrial vehicles, with special emphasis on performance & safety.
