Magnus Uggla, Executive Vice President and Head of Regional Bank Stockholm City has been appointed new head of Regional Bank Great Britain. He succeeds Ulf Sylvan, who after 31 years with the Bank will be retiring at the end of the year, when he reaches his contractual retirement age. Magnus Uggla's previous positions include general manager of the Bank's branch in New York.

 

Lars Kahnlund, Executive Vice President, currently head of Regional Bank Northern Norrland, has been appointed new head of Regional Bank Stockholm City. Lars Kahnlund has also worked in the Finnish regional bank operations and was previously also in charge of Nordic operations at Handelsbanken Finans.

 

Per Beckman, general manager of Handelsbanken's New York branch, will succeed Lars Kahnlund as head of Regional Bank Northern Norrland and in connection with this will be appointed Executive Vice President at Handelsbanken. Before moving to New York, Per Beckman was responsible for Handelsbanken Finans' sales support to the Swedish branch office operations.

 

All these appointments are effective as of 1 September 2005.
