Asset management to become a separate division of Svenska Handelsbanken

In order to further enhance and develop Svenska Handelsbanken’s operations in the area of asset management, the Bank has decided to split Handelsbanken Markets into two divisions. On 1 March 1998 Handelsbanken Mutual Funds, Asset Management and Custody Services and Capital Investment Support will be combined into a new division called Handelsbanken Asset Management.

Björn C Andersson, Executive Vice President, currently Head of Handelsbanken Markets, has been appointed Head of the new division.

Göran Björling, Executive Vice President, currently Head of the Bank’s Central Credit Department, has been appointed Head of Handelsbanken Markets.

Lennart Francke has been appointed Head of the Central Credit Department. At present he is Deputy Head of the same department. He has also been appointed Executive Vice President at Handelsbanken.
