Handelsbanken completes the sale of its card acquiring business to Worldline
Handelsbanken announced on July 27th 2021, an agreement to sell its card acquiring business to Wordline. All conditions for the transaction are now fulfilled, and the transaction was completed on October 18th 2021. The purchase price amounts SEK 2 000 million for the business, including a distribution agreement.
Handelsbanken will, during the fourth quarter account for an Other income of preliminary net SEK 550 million. The distribution agreement will in addition, generate a recurring commission income, which partly refers to the purchase price, a part which is accrued.
