Handelsbanken Fonder – Fund Management Company of the Year for 2020
On 10 March, Handelsbanken Fonder was named Fund Management Company of the Year for 2020 by Söderberg & Partners. This award comes just after the company received a similar accolade from Privata Affärer.
The justification for the award reads as follows:“Handelsbanken Fonder – Fund Management Company of the Year for 2020. The fund management company has successfully developed a robust platform for their selection of mutual funds aimed at savers. Via this platform, the fund management company has attracted and produced asset managers of a world-class standard – for Nordic asset classes as well as global ones. In addition, the fund management company is a responsible owner that gives good consideration to sustainability in its investment decisions”.
“We are extremely pleased that the breadth and depth of our mutual fund offering has again been recognised. Our asset managers show great personal commitment, and together, they form a very strong team. Coupled with our long-term sustainability efforts within the entire management, this is one of the main reasons behind our success,” says Magdalena Wahlqvist Alveskog, Chief Executive of Handelsbanken Fonder.
The award was presented by the journalist and television profile Lennart Ekdal.
Söderberg & Partners’ evaluation is currently based on approximately 4,400 mutual funds, ranging from Swedish small cap funds and fixed income funds investing in growth markets, to hedge funds with a focus on pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. The fund management companies included in the analysis range from large international fund management companies to companies with a focus on a small number of sector-specific or regional funds.
