Handelsbanken's international e-banking platform "GlobalOn-Line" is now open for clients with operations in China. On June 1, China's banking regulator CBRC approved Handelsbanken's e-banking solution for use in China. Handelsbanken Shanghai Branch will now be able to offer clients account and payment services via the internet.

"We are very excited about this latest addition to our service range in China. The value of the bank's e-banking offering will greatly increase for all our clients with business operations in China," says Johan Andrén, General Manager, Handelsbanken Shanghai Branch.

Handelsbanken, the first Nordic bank to obtain a banking license in China, started its Shanghai operations in August 2005 and offers a range of banking services to corporate clients in China.
