Frank Vang-Jensen was today appointed head of Handelsbanken in Denmark. At the same time, he was appointed executive vice president at Handelsbanken.

Frank Vang-Jensen states, "The Danish market is one of the most dynamic in Europe with stiff competition from many expert players. In this environment, Handelsbanken has grown substantially in the past few years. I am convinced that our decentralised business model, where decisions are made by the local branch office close to the customer, suits us Danes well."

Frank Vang-Jensen is currently chief executive of Handelsbanken's mortgage company Stadshypotek and has been a member of Handelsbanken's management team since 2006. He will take up his new position on 1 July this year.
