Reallocations of Handelsbanken’s shareholdings

Svenska Handelsbanken AB (publ), Handelsbanken’s Pension Foundation and Handelsbanken’s Pension Fund have today made mutual realloactions of their holdings in Industrivärden and Svenska Cellulosa AB (SCA) and other companies.

Following these transactions, Svenska Handelsbanken AB (publ) now controls 10.46 per cent of the votes in Industrivärden and 10.15 per cent of the votes in SCA.

“The Board of Handelsbanken, in consultation with the boards of the Pension Fund, the Pension Foundation and the Bank’s major owners, decided to make these reallocations in order to ensure that the Bank’s shareholders continue to have the freedom of action and right of disposition in matters relating to ownership of these long-term holdings,” says Anders Nyrén, Chairman of the Board of Handelsbanken in a comment.

These reallocations will generate a capital gain of some SEK 300 million for the Bank.

“This is an adaptation to future legislation and will not result in any changes in the total holdings in the companies concerned,” says Anders Nyrén.
