Handheld Group appoints Johan Hed as new Chief Product Officer

Handheld Group, a Swedish manufacturer of rugged mobile computers, today announced the appointment of Johan Hed as new Chief Product Officer with full responsibility for Handheld’s product development and product management functions. The move combines all product efforts under Johan’s leadership and allows Handheld to increase product development efforts.  

Johan Hed, who joined Handheld Group in 2010, has worked with Handheld’s product management and development in multiple roles, most recently as Director of Product Management, and as a contributor on strategic decisions as a member of the management team. Johan has a strong knowledge of Handheld’s network of suppliers as well specific customer needs.  

The organizational change is made to strengthen the ambitious growth plan that Handheld has laid out for the global market. “Johan has well-documented experience in the rugged computing industry and possesses a unique blend of experience, plus market and technology knowledge. He has been with us for more than 10 years and knows our markets and the needs of our customers. The momentum we see in the market is strong and we expect a rapid growth over the next couple of years. We also see a sharp increase in demand for custom-made customer solutions where Johan has an understanding of both the technical and commercial challenges,” said Thomas Löfblad, CEO Handheld Group.
