Handheld Group appoints Thomas Löfblad as new CEO

[Lidköping, Sweden, November 1, 2019.] Handheld Group, a leading global manufacturer of rugged mobile computers, today announced the appointment of Thomas Löfblad as its new CEO. Löfblad will lead the efforts of Handheld Group’s continued global expansion. 2019 has been a record-breaking year for Handheld Group, with several high-profile contracts and an expanded product portfolio.

Thomas Löfblad, who joined Handheld as a co-owner in 2003, most recently held the position of Vice president of Global Sales. He has overseen the Handheld Group’s worldwide growth, putting to use his broad experience in international business. Prior to joining Handheld Thomas held executive and key management positions in several international companies. Thomas has a bachelor’s degree in business from Shippensburg University, as well as an MBA from Northern Arizona University.

Jerker Hellström, founder of Handheld Group, will remain as chairman of the board and will focus on corporate strategy, product development, and new technologies.
