Handheld Scandinavia appoints Thomas Vallmar as new CEO
[Lidköping, Sweden, July 6, 2021.] Handheld Scandinavia, a Nordic supplier of rugged mobile computers, today announced the appointment of Thomas Vallmar as new CEO. Vallmar will lead Handheld’s efforts for a broadened footprint on the Nordic markets. Handheld Scandinavia is a fully owned subsidiary of Handheld Group, a leading global manufacturer of rugged computers.
Vallmar, who joined Handheld Scandinavia as a sales manager in 2017, has worked closely with Handheld’s reselling partners putting to use his business development skills to create growth, profitability and implement new business strategies. Vallmar will continue his sales role, staying close to customers, as well as oversee Handheld Group’s growth in the Scandinavian market. Prior to joining Handheld, Thomas held several high-level management roles in industries such as mobile communication, retail, and business consulting.
The organizational change strengthens the ambitious growth plan that Handheld has laid out for the global market. The previous CEO of Handheld Scandinavia, Carsten Billeschou, will focus on the EMEA and APAC markets in his role as CEO of Handheld Europe and Handheld APAC.
