Contract manufacturer HANZA expands - acquires international cable group

Contract manufacturer HANZA AB (publ) has today acquired the international cable manufacturer Alfaram with factories in Finland, Slovakia and China. The acquisition follows HANZAs expansion strategy, and after the acquisition group turnover of approx. 1.3 billion with approx. 1,100 people in six countries.

"This acquisition is an important step," said Erik Stenfors, CEO HANZA. "With Alfaram we become a leader also in the cabling, while we expand HANZAs international positioning. It also follows the deal our business model - to continuously improve our offering. "

"We have managed to grow with good profitability during the financial crisis, and with HANZA we can continue the development of a clear strategy and a broader offering."

HANZA opened four new factories in 2012 and will during the spring open another factory. The company thus has a total of 13 plants in six countries. Among the company's clients are international electronics and industrial companies such as Ericsson, Saab Defense, Siemens, and Husqvarna.
