Recycling idea wins students a trip to Bulgaria

An innovative concept that aims to save some of the world’s finite resources has won students from Harper Adams University an all-expenses paid trip to Bulgaria. Three BSc (Hons) Countryside Management students – Dale Webb, Anne Walker and Oli Davenport, came up with an idea that recycles ‘pee’ to enter the I.S.L.E Competition for Students. £300,000 funding for Harper Adams

Research projects and scholarships receive vital fundingHarper Adams University College has secured around £300,000 in grants to support a series of new research projects and a scholarship scheme. The first is a three year PhD studentship looking at the ‘effect of macro nutrients and phytase on mineral digestibility and immunology in weaned pigs’. This has received £45,000 of funding from AB Vista and Primary Diets and £45,000 from the Silcock Fellowship for Livestock Research. Completion of first research degrees sponsored by Douglas Bomford TrustHarper Adams is pleased to announce the completion of the first two Douglas Bomford Trust sponsored PhDs undertaken at the University College in Shropshire.
