Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire – Thursday 7 January, 2010; Coopers Square shopping centre brought plenty of festive cheer to its customers in Burton upon Trent this Christmas, with 12 lucky winners walking way with bumper prizes in its biggest ever competition. The 12 days of Christmas prize draw spectacular came courtesy of the Coopers Square Tenants Association and saw stores join together to offer shoppers the chance to win over £1400 worth of goodies.

The top prize of a Nintendo Wii console package was won by Mrs Sally Allen of Branston, Burton upon Trent, who was delighted to receive her star prize just in time for the Christmas break. I was gobsmacked when the centre contacted me, as I’ve never won anything before and I didn’t expect to hear anything after I entered the competition while I was doing some Christmas shopping in New Look! We’ve had great fun with the Nintendo Wii over Christmas and look forward to using it more and getting the New Year off to a positive start.” Christmas also came early for 11 other lucky shoppers who each received £100 in store vouchers from BHS, Boots, Marks & Spencer, New Look, Next, Primark, River Island, The Body Shop, Top Shop, the Watch Hospital and WHSmith. J Harrison, Mr Jake Hulme, Miss V Clarke, Mr John Gooch, Horbajan Dhillan, Mr Raymond, Mrs Tracy Summerfield, Miss Kay Tiso, Mrs H Elsby, L Whotton and Mrs Elizabeth Wright are all sure to enjoy hitting the January sales throughout the shopping centre to spend their vouchers.
